The Shaivisms flocked to temples in different parts of the country to pray to the lord Shiva to celebrate the fourth and last Monday of the holy month of Shravan.
Like, every year during this auspicious month, many Shiva devotees visit Lokhanath temple in Puri, Dabaleshwar temple in Asgar, Kapilash temple in Dhenkanal, Gupteswar temple in Koraput and Harishankar temple in Bolangir. The famous Lingaraj Temple of Lord Shiva attracts thousands of devotees during the month of Shravan. The Somnath Temple in Sambalpur and the Akandaramani Temple in Badrak are also witnessing huge crowds.
Not only Odisha, but also worshipers from different parts of the country pray on the last Monday of the month of Shravan.

Shravan is considered the most auspicious month. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva who is worshipped during this month. The Shiva admirer believes that fasting on the Mondays of this month will please the Almighty and in return bless them with abundant wisdom and patience. Monday Rudrabhishek of lord shiva is believed to cleanse the body of disease and the world of its faults.
