Following the completion of the second Bhogamandap, the empty chests and almirahs located in the Ratna Bhandar of the Shree Jagannath Temple will be moved on August 23 at 2:00 PM. Devotees will not be permitted to darshan the deities after 1:00 PM until the chests and almirahs have been moved. According to a letter sent on Tuesday to all Nijogs (temple servitor bodies) by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), these empty almirahs and containers will be kept in a room close to the Niladri Museum.
To make sure that rituals are unaffected by the shifting process, a unique ritual calendar for the deities has been created. Those who are interested in purchasing Mahaprasad, however, can do so from Ananda Bazar by going through Singha Dwar to enter the temple and Uttar Dwar to leave. Notably, on July 14 and 18, respectively, the jewels found in the Bhitar Ratna Bhandar and the Bahar were moved to a strong room.
