Grand Conclusion of Amrit Internship Programme: 53 Youth Awarded Certificates

In a remarkable culmination of grassroots engagement, the Amrit Internship Programme, initiated by Indian Potash Limited (IPL) and implemented by RISE Foundation, concluded today with a grand Certificate Distribution Ceremony held at IPL Sugar Unit, Dhenkanal, Odisha. This unique initiative provided 53 local youths with hands-on exposure to agriculture, rural livelihoods, and social development.

The event commenced with the ceremonial garlanding of Lord Jagannath’s idol and the lighting of the traditional lamp. This was followed by a floral welcome of the dignitaries.

All dignitaries encouraged the interns to embrace values of social service, self-reliance, and leadership, urging them to become proactive contributors to India’s rural development story.

Delivering the keynote, Mr. Abhay Tripathi, Secretary of RISE Foundation, stated:

“The objective of the Amrit Internship Programme is to connect youth with real-world rural challenges and equip them to become sensitive, responsible, and solution-oriented leaders of tomorrow.”

Over the course of three months, 53 selected interns engaged with local farmers across various villages. Their work involved farmer interactions, data collection from 100+ farmers, and field activities focusing on agriculture, environment, health, and education. Each intern received a total support amount of ₹18,000 during the internship period.

The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to all interns. Many of them shared their reflections on stage, describing the experience as “the most enlightening and transformative journey of their lives.”

The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Jaipal Khamari, Deputy Manager at IPL Sugar Unit, along with Mr. Ashok Kumar, and unit staff, and all participating interns.
