Anjali Abhijit Parandekar is an observer and likes to observe people and know their stories . She is a student of Jain University and has recently authored a book “ Everything about Love “.

Q1) How did you understand your calling as an author ? What was your first writing experience ?

Ans : So I never really thought that I can write but I always had a lot to say about a lot of things,I always had a opinion on everything but growing up I was more of a shy and underconfident kid so many of my thoughts went unsaid. It was in 2020 when I lost my dad so there were a lot of emotions going on and one day when I was visting one of his business place I was just thinking about him and some words came to my mind and I quickly opened my notes and wrote whatever I was thinking. In that moment I didn’t realize what I was writing but after few hours went by I checked and saw that I really poured my heart out and I was feeling so light and at peace as if I finally said my goodbyes to him which I didn’t got chance of doing. And about the first question I might not say that I’m a author per say,as l like to call myself a medium for people to share what they feel or go through.

Q2) How did you decide the plot for “Everything about Love”. Give us a short brief about the book .

Ans :The one thing I was sure about was it will revolve around love because somehow I’m able to express what love is and what it can be,either a curse or a blessing. So this book has a compilation of poems where love is a blessing but how it can also be a curse. The book starts with some of my really loved poems (love, love at firstsight, a father-daughter love, a bond between a family) and it ends with some shayari’s about failing at love. My whole point of writing this book was no one should think that love is prefect ,but it will feel perfect if you find someone who loves as per your definition and you love them by their definition.

Q3) Nowadays a majority of the youth is much more focused on social media rather than reading books. What is your view on this topic ?

Ans : I agree that youth is attracted toward social media platforms but I feel, social media serves small quotes or bits and pieces of books which attracts the youth to read that particular book. So most of the youth don’t tend to read books it’s just that they need some reason that might be (quote or a storyline or characters) why they would read the books.

Q4) Kindly attach the link of your book so that the readers can get a grasp on these beautiful read. How do you strike a balance between your studies and your hobbies ?

Ans : https://amzn.eu/d/cKqYsae (link for the book)

I mostly write in my free time. I don’t condition myself to write everyday or in certain period of time. I only write when something strikes to me. It might be when I’m in class that time I just write the main idea on the last page of the book and later after class I rewrite about it.

Q5 ) We know that there is a lot of hard work that goes behind the launching of books . From preparing the final manuscript to writing the first draft till publishing. Tell us how your experience was and to whom would you dedicate your success in this entire process?

Ans :My experience was quite smooth, as I knew what I wanted and I was able to publish this book altogether because of  bookleaf publishing. As they had this 21 day challenge in which we have to write 21 poems in 21 days 1 day each. And I participated in it. After 21 days they sent me a draft of the book and then we decided on the cover and after some editing. The book was published. And I dedicate this book, my journey of writing and my accomplishments to my family and friends as every one of them have been very supportive and I would also like to take a moment and thank bookleaf publishing for publishing my first book.
