Q1) Every author has a story from where they begun their writing journey . Tell us about the start of your journey .

Ans : Many writers begin their writing journey by simply starting to write. This may involve keeping a journal or writing short stories or poems for personal enjoyment. Others may begin by taking writing classes or workshops to develop their skills and gain feedback from other writers.

It’s also important for writers to read widely in the genre they wish to write in, as this can help them develop a better understanding of the craft of writing and gain inspiration for their own work.

Another useful tool for writers is to set specific goals for themselves, such as writing a certain number of words per day or completing a specific project by a certain date. This can help them stay motivated and focused on their writing.

Ultimately, the key to beginning a writing journey is to simply start writing and to keep practicing and refining your craft over time. With dedication and persistence, anyone can become a skilled and successful writer. My journey is overall same.

Q2) A lot of young authors wants to have a career in writing but feel underconfident at times. What would be your advice to them ?

Ans : Starting the writing journey can be an exciting and fulfilling endeavor. Here are some steps to help them get started:

Determine your writing goals: Before you begin, it’s important to clarify your writing goals. Ask yourself what you want to achieve with your writing. Do you want to write fiction, non-fiction, poetry, or something else? Are you aiming to publish a book, start a blog, or simply write for personal enjoyment? Setting clear goals will help guide your writing journey.

Read extensively: Reading is an essential part of becoming a better writer. Read books, articles, and other materials in the genre you’re interested in. Pay attention to the writing style, structure, and techniques used by different authors. This will expand your vocabulary, inspire ideas, and familiarize you with various writing styles.

Start writing regularly: To improve your writing, you need to practice consistently. Set aside dedicated time for writing, whether it’s daily or a few times a week. Establish a routine and commit to it. Don’t worry about producing perfect work initially; the key is to get words on paper and build momentum.

Experiment with different writing exercises: Engage in writing exercises to develop your skills and explore various aspects of writing. Try prompts, writing challenges, or freewriting sessions. These exercises can help you generate ideas, enhance your creativity, and improve your writing mechanics.

Find your writing voice: Your writing voice is your unique style and perspective as a writer. It’s the way you express yourself on the page. Experiment with different writing styles and techniques until you find your authentic voice. Don’t be afraid to be yourself and let your personality shine through in your writing.

Seek feedback: Sharing your work with others and receiving constructive feedback is crucial for growth as a writer. Join writing groups, workshops, or online communities where you can connect with fellow writers and get feedback on your writing. Consider joining a critique group or finding a writing mentor who can provide guidance and support.

Edit and revise: Writing is a process, and editing is a vital part of refining your work. After completing a draft, take time to review and revise it. Pay attention to grammar, sentence structure, clarity, and overall coherence. Consider seeking professional editing assistance if you plan to publish your work.

Embrace rejection and learn from it: Rejection is a common part of the writing journey, especially when submitting your work for publication. Don’t be discouraged by rejection letters or negative feedback. Instead, view them as opportunities to learn and improve. Keep persevering and refining your craft.

Build a writing routine and set goals: Consistency is key in writing. Establish a writing routine that works for you, whether it’s early mornings, late nights, or dedicated writing sessions during the day. Set achievable writing goals, such as completing a certain number of words or chapters per week, to maintain momentum and stay motivated.

Stay inspired and motivated: Writing can be a solitary and challenging pursuit. Surround yourself with inspiration by reading books, attending writing conferences, or listening to podcasts on writing. Find what motivates you and use it to fuel your creativity and dedication to the craft.

Remember, everyone’s writing journey is unique, and it takes time to develop your skills and find your voice as a writer. Enjoy the process, stay persistent, and don’t be afraid to take risks and experiment with your writing.
