Ans : The start of my journey as an author was long back, when I was a student of Class 8th. I wrote a poem of eight lines. My English teacher appreciated me in front of the class. At that point of time , writing was just a way of venting off my sadness, stress and fears. Getting published was nowhere in my mind. In those days, my poems were full of negativity and sadness. After struggling with the hurdles in my life and overcoming them, made my thoughts full of hope. I developed a positive attitude towards life. Then my writing also changed to being motivating and inspiring for others. That is when I thought of getting my work published. My first book ‘You have to shine’ is a collection of motivating poems.

Q3) Several youngsters wants to write their own solo books, but they lack confidence ,what would be your advice to them?

Ans : I would advice aspiring authors to think of contributing to the society by sharing their thoughts, and there is no better way for expression of thoughts, than writing a book. Though people rarely go for a paperback, but there are other options like eBook, audio book , etc. which are more popular nowadays. We have heard the proverb ‘Pen is mightier than sword.’ Pen is the only weapon we writers have, which we can use to change the thinking process of youngsters and steer their thoughts towards constructive and progressive standards.
Talking about confidence, one must remember that you cannot fathom the depth of your ability in writing, unless and until you begin somewhere. We should never wait for the right time to come, instead we should make the present time the best of all times. Invest a fraction of your time for your writing work, like, at least two pages per day and you can complete one book less than two months. Don’t think of doing it all in one day. That will leave you feel exhausted and make you lose interest in your work. You just need to be consistent and determined.
The best way of doing any work is just doing it. Confidence does not precede your work. It can come only after doing it.
Q4) Tell us more about your book “You have to shine “ and “Aasha ke Ankur”. Which is your favourite genre when it comes to writing and why ?
Ans : ‘You have to shine’ and ‘Aasha ke Ankur’ are poetry collections in English and Hindi respectively. My poems are generally motivational for the readers. These poems are my conversation with myself. Whenever I lose confidence and hope, I motivate myself. Those sessions of mine with myself, take form of a poem.
My favourite genre is poetry. I feel poems are beautiful way of expressing one’s thoughts and feelings in a lyrical manner. Whether a poem has a rhyming scheme or not, it is the best way to reach the readers’ heart.
Q5) From preparing the draft of the book , to selecting the cover page to publishing it , it is a process that requires total scrutiny and involvement . Tell us about your experience and were there any hardships that you faced in the process ?

Ans : Though the process is full of hardships, my publishers, Bluerose publishers( You have to shine’ and Aasha ke Ankur ‘ ) and Maybeify Publishers (Burbles of the soul),have always been very helpful and cordial to work with. The publication managers have co-operated a lot in preparing the draft as well as selecting the cover page. I am looking forward to work with them for my future projects too.
