Food is more than just a source of nutrition. It’s a way of life for them. Unsurprisingly, there is a sizable network of Indian food bloggers and social media influencers dedicated to delivering exquisite cuisine to our screens. Today we are in a conversation with an amazing food blogger.

Suraj Kumar Jena is a 22 years old boy pursuing PG in journalism and mass communication from Ravenshaw University. People know him as the funny blogger because he is a born foodie and he loves doing food videos, especially food blogging on YouTube that’s why people know him as the funny blogger.

1. How do you feel being one of the most sensational food bloggers of Odisha?

First of all, I would like to thank you for using the word sensational it makes me flatter and being one of the food bloggers of Odisha. It feels great when I bring a lot of unique food for my YouTube family for my subscribers and where they bless me with their comments. It feels great and it also feels great because there are just a few food bloggers in Odisha and being part of them being one among them feels great.

2. From 100 to 38,000 subscribers, how has life changed? Firstly we would love to know about your massive success journey?

First of all, I never thought that my journey would be so raging, from 100 to 38K is like massive support. I think its all god’s grace and our consistency. We always try to give out unique content, and with that, I got to show the comedy talent I have by making a small fun skit before the video, which attracts the customers. 38k is very massive by our family; they have always supported me and loved me. I feel happy when any of my subscribers try to let me know that they follow me, it feels like yes am doing something absolutely good. Apart from all this, my parent’s blessing is something I always seek, their happiness is unbearable. They even love when people come to me ask me, they feel happy about it. I think success is a never-ending format, as will reach it will go a little far. So am happy with the state am in where I feel there’s more to go.

3. How did you plan for starting ‘the funny blogger’ YouTube channel?

I wanted you to ask me this question. When I went to Pandav Bakhra a place at Bank ii thought of showing the place to all the people out there. I wanted to showcase that on a funny note, where people could relate to my efforts. So I tried creating many videos which are fun intrigued as well with the most interactions. I feel happy about my engagement people used to love me; they visit places I talk about. So is a complete mixture of fun and food that is why my channel is named ‘THE FUNNY BLOGGER’.

4. We have seen your massive team who supports you from the back as well as in the front, could you please let us know about them?

First of all, thank you for this question. I feel a team can build a company better, rather a single person. I feel people can never break a bunch of sticks. I would love to give my heartfelt thanks to Rahul, Rashmi, and pradyumna for being my massive support system.  So I feel my youtube is the first family and the extended is my team.

5. How was your childhood and where was it?

I am born and brought up here only in Cuttack. I have a massive experience of changing schools; I have been into more than 3 schools. But finally, I got into SCB medical school where I studied till my 10th. I passed out in the year 2016. After completing my +2 in English honours from Netaji memorial which is a CT college had pursued BA 2021.

6. Do you think if a person pursues YouTube as a full-time job, is it worth it?

I would personally say I have mixed feelings for this question, I feel if you are consistent, dedicative towards this then you can pursue this on a future note. Being you tuber is not an easy task it takes a lot of things to make a single video possible.

7. We have seen many food vloggers of Odisha, but what makes “the funny blogger” different?

So I always wanted to do something unique, out of the box. That’s the reason I have fun content added before my video starts, and I think people love that and that is what makes my video more interesting. And when it comes to naming it was found by adding 2 forms of emotion that are food and fun.

8. How do you feel getting featured by ‘THE INTERVIEW TIMES’?

I do feel good. I never thought of getting featured in such a massive magazine. Everything is destined and is speechless; never thought something like this would ever happen.
