Q1) Tell us about the starting of your author’s journey.

Ans : I was good with words and I knew I could get better. I loved reading interviews of successful people, exploring the dictionary and learn new words but I was never an avid reader. I knew I could write and be good it so I started writing poems and maintained a diary in college. Soon I realised that I could have a platform to showcase my writings. In 2014, I started my social media handle under the name Writing Ordinary. I believe that’s the best decision I have made.
Q2) “Train Your Mind – a Step by Step guide to a content Life” is written by you . How did you decide the plot of the book and what was your inspiration behind.

Ans : When our minds are disturbed, we think, feel and act in a dysfunctional and self defeating manner. This invariably changes our cognitions, emotional reactions and behaviours. But what if we knew exactly how to take care of our minds ? Just like our bodies, our minds need training and nourishment too. This book is designed to help you understand your mind and take full control of it without being emotionally dependent on anyone.
Q3)A large section of the youth has several problems dealing with Peer Pressure. They often become underconfident or lack the spirit of betterment. What is your views on this . Tell us more about how to overcome this issues.
Ans : Your mind is the most sacred entity inside of you and if you can learn to take care of your mind, you can live a content life. You can help yourself and you can change your situation whenever you want by changing your thoughts. What do you tell yourself? Are your thoughts helpful? Can you change them? How do you feel when you change them? Is your mind at peace? can you review your thoughts everyday?Life is simple. What can get complicated is our minds. Take charge, become aware and do not stop. You need you and you’re only and only getting better.
Q4) From writing the initial draft to working on the final draft it surely requires a lot of efforts. What was the most challenging process in your writing career ?
Ans : there have been days when i haven’t written for days at stretch telling myself that words must naturally flow and if i can’t write, it means that it just wasn’t the right time. There is never a ‘time’ to write. You make it and preserve it , strictly for writing. When ideas strike you – whether in the bathroom, just before sleeping, in between a movie, while traveling, during workouts or even in important meetings – record it anyhow. Write it in your notes and save it. True that words flow and sometimes so magically that it’s unbelievable but sometimes they are also a result of adamant attitude and sheer stubbornness. You know you’re not letting go of it until you’ve articulately framed it. It’s a struggle but if you’ve accomplished that, then you’re halfway through. The art of writing is a gift but the art of writing well, writing to inspire, writing to grow and learn is in true sense, nurturing that gift.
Q5) Is there any message you want to give to the readers?
Ans: In life, there are going to be some very special individuals who will inspire you , make you sense the accomplishments you’ve made, make you feel worthy of your efforts and teach you self love. They may or may not be your direct friends and you may have never met or interacted with them directly but they will be real, just like their vibes. Focus on them. I do.
