COVID specialists in India have finally confirmed that India has entered the third wave of COVID 19. Not only that the figures suggest the fact that India is now under the destructive loom of the COVID third wave. As per the reports from the health department, in the last 24 hours, India reported 90,928 fresh COVID-19 cases, which is a whopping 56 per cent more than the previous day case of 58,097 cases.
Not only India faces the destructive COVID third wave, but it is also under its most destructive wave of the Omicron variant. As per the latest reports. the total Omicron cases stand at 2,630 cases. Maharashtra leads the pack with 797 cases followed by India’s capital state Delhi with 465 cases.
Maharashtra added 26,538 new cases to India’s massive spike, followed by West Bengal, which reported 14,022 infections in a day. The number of fresh Covid cases in Delhi nearly doubled within the last 24 hours, shooting up from 5481 to 10,665 in the biggest single-day spike since May 12. Eight deaths were also recorded — the highest since June 26.
