Subrata Pathak of the BJP defeated Kannauj resident Dimple Yadav, the wife of Akhilesh Yadav, in the 2019 general elections.The MP for the Bharatiya Janata Party from Kannauj, Subrata Pathak, has drawn comparisons between his election battle against Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, in the UP constituency, and an India vs. Pakistan cricket match. Three days after the party announced another candidate from the constituency, Yadav will submit his nomination for the seat today.
“The largest celebration in a democracy is the election. Elections ought to be fascinating events.He understood when Tej Pratap was sent here by Akhilesh Yadav.The cricket match between Japan and India would have taken place if Tej Pratap had been involved. Akhilesh Yadav had expressed confidence in the Samajwadi Party’s win from the seat before to the announcement.”Heroic victory from the seat is at issue here. In this election, the BJP will go down in history as voters have decided to support the INDIA bloc. Voters would reject the NDA,” he stated to PTI.Days after the party nominated his nephew Tej Pratap Yadav as its Kannauj candidate, the decision was made.
