It’s yet another clean sweep done by Team India under the leadership of Rohit Sharma. Team India who previously whitewashed West Indies in the ODI series as well, did the same in the T20 series against the same opposition, yesterday at Kolkata.
While already winning the series, Team India tried to test their bench strength in yesterday’s match. However, it was the explosive innings of Suryakumar Yadav and Venki Iyer at the end which propelled India to a target of 184 after losing the toss and batting first.
West Indies lost wickets regularly and eventually lost the match by 17 runs. Suryakumar Yadav won both the man of the match and the man of the series award. Also, an unbeaten T20 winning streak of 12 matches has made India become rank 1 in the T20’s as well.
