Indian origin Mala Adiga appointed Jill Biden’s policy director

Newly-elected U.S. President Joe Biden has appointed Indian-American Mala Adiga as his wife Jill Biden’s policy director.  Jill who is all set to become the country’s first woman (fast lady), is focused on education.  Therefore, Mala, who has an education policy background, has been selected for the post.

 During Biden’s campaign in the 2020 presidential election, Mala was the district’s senior adviser to Jill Biden’s senior policy adviser.  Prior to that, she served as director of higher education and military families at the Biden Foundation.  Mala also held senior positions in the Obama administration.  He was the Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the academic program at the Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs.

 Mala has in the past served as Chief of Staff and Senior Adviser to the Foreign Office’s Office of Global Women’s Issues.  According to CNN, Louisa Terrell, who is associated with the Biden Foundation, will be the director of the White House Legislative Affairs Office.  In the Obama administration, Carlos Elizondo, the White House’s social secretary, will be the White House’s secretary general, and Cathy Russell will be in charge of the president’s personal department at the White House office.
