Indian Student Tanya Tyagi Passes Away in Canada Under Mysterious Circumstances

In a tragic development, Indian student Tanya Tyagi has passed away in Canada under uncertain circumstances. As of now, Canadian authorities have not issued an official statement regarding the cause of her death. The Indian Consulate has assured full support to her grieving family, stating, “The Consulate is in touch with the authorities and will provide all required assistance to the bereaved family. Our heartfelt condolences & prayers are with her family and friends.”

Tanya’s death adds to a growing list of concerning incidents involving Indian students abroad. Earlier this year, 20-year-old Sudiksha Konanki, a permanent U.S. resident and University of Pittsburgh student, went missing while vacationing in the Dominican Republic. Last seen on March 6 near the Riu Punta Cana Hotel, Sudiksha’s disappearance remains unresolved despite international attention.

Amid the uncertainty surrounding Tanya’s death, an unverified post circulating on social media claimed that she died of a heart attack and appealed to the Prime Minister’s Office for help. The post alleged that Tanya, a student from Northeast Delhi, passed away on June 17 and that her family has requested government assistance to repatriate her body to India.
