Since his identification wasn’t known until late Thursday night, police claimed it was “premature” to confirm or deny that he was the primary suspect.According to a police officer aware of the development, investigators were searching for a man who got to the low-intensity explosive location near the Israeli embassy on Tuesday from South Delhi’s Jamia Nagar in an autorickshaw and fled in another three-wheeler minutes before the explosion. The officer emphasised that since the man’s identification could not be determined until late Thursday night, it was “premature” to confirm or deny that he was the primary suspect. Examining the CCTV footage, it was discovered that the man was among the minimum of twelve individuals present at the location prior to the detonation.
The driver of the first car was questioned after it was located. The driver attested to the passenger getting off the vehicle at Prithviraj Road. He didn’t know the man got into another autorickshaw when he let him go. The police said they were trying to find the other car that drove off in the direction of India Gate with the passenger inside.
According to a second police officer, the people observed before and after the explosion in the area, particularly on Prithviraj Road and close to the Israeli embassy, were being recognised by the facial recognition system.
