Naveen Patnaik Requests HC Judges, Union Ministers, Lawmakers To Adopt Schools

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik requested all the judges of the Orissa High Court two Union ministers, all the MPs, and MLAs from Odisha to induce transmutation in the school atmosphere for the betterment of the school and the education system.

This request came after when recently, several IAS officers adopted government schools in Odisha for the boosting of the ‘Mo School’ campaign. The chief minister Naveen Patnaik wrote down a letter to all the High Court judges, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Pratap Sarangi, all MPs and MLAs where he requested them to be involved in the ‘Mo School’ campaign to develop the overall school education system in the State. He stated that we all have an emotional and a strong bond with the school we studied.

‘Mo School’ Abhiyan was launched by the Chief Minister on Children’s day in 2017 to draw together the alumni, their alma mater, and the community to modify government and government-aided schools.

The fund from the ‘Mo School’ programme emanates from the donors and a corpus of Rs 100 crore generated by the state government. Over 30 officers including chief secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra have fostered government schools under the ‘Mo School’ campaign.

As per the report, a person can adopt a maximum of three government schools.
