‘No Double Standards, No Compromise’: PM Modi Delivers Strong Message on Terrorism in Malaysia

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday underscored India’s uncompromising stance against terrorism during his address in Malaysia, asserting that the global fight against the menace must allow no ambiguity or selective approaches.

Speaking after delegation-level talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in Kuala Lumpur, Modi said India believes there can be “no double standards, no compromise” when it comes to tackling terrorism, calling for a clear and unified international response.

Beyond security concerns, the discussions also focused on expanding cooperation in emerging technologies and economic collaboration. The two leaders agreed that India and Malaysia would work closely in cutting-edge and critical sectors, reflecting a shared vision for future-oriented growth.

Following the talks, both countries unveiled a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral ties across defence and security, semiconductors, and trade. The agreements signal a renewed push to deepen strategic and economic engagement between the two nations amid evolving regional and global challenges.

The visit highlights India’s broader diplomatic outreach in Southeast Asia, combining firm positions on global security with an emphasis on innovation-driven partnerships.
