During the centennial foundation day festivities of Ranihat High School in Cuttack, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said that the state’s Class IX and X students would henceforth be covered by the noon meal program. The program’s objectives are to lower secondary dropout rates and assist pupils’ nutritional requirements.
The Chief Minister underlined his government’s commitment to reducing school dropouts and bolstering the state’s educational system, highlighting the Sahid Madho Singh Hata Kharcha Yojana. He underlined that the government would do all in its power to guarantee that students may pursue their studies without facing financial obstacles.
With an anticipated expenditure of ₹4-5 crore, Majhi also revealed intentions to open Godabarish Mishra Adarsh Prathamik Vidyalayas throughout Odisha. The action is a component of the government’s larger plan to improve the infrastructure of elementary education and offer high-quality learning environments.
Majhi criticized the previous BJD-led administration for ignoring basic education and giving priority to flimsy initiatives like the 5T program, which he said was more concerned with whitewashing schools than with tackling fundamental educational problems. He declared that his government is dedicated to real educational changes that will affect students’ prospects for a long time.
