Today, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik dedicated 323 high schools across five districts on the fifth day of the third phase of the 5T School Transformation Program. These comprise 76 high schools in Nabarangpur district, 100 in Mayurbhanj district, 62 high schools in Khordha district, 62 high schools in Bargarh district, and 62 high schools in Boudh district. With this, 1816 high schools that have undergone transformation have been dedicated in the program’s third phase’s five days. There will be a total of 6,132 ‘5T’ Transformed High Schools in the state upon the completion of the three phases.
Naveen Patnaik, the chief minister, claimed that the public is participating in the school reform initiative at every stage. Parents, neighborhood residents, and members of the school management committee are involved in the planning and execution of the school transformation at all levels. Additionally, they are aware of the cost of the work. As a result, he argued, school reform is a prime illustration of public engagement.
The Chief Minister remarked that the kids might use this chance to show off their skill and honor their families, Odisha, and themselves. Atabira MLA Snehangini Chhuriya from Bargarh, Minister of Women and Child Development Basanti Hembram from Mayurbhanj, Minister of Information and Public Relations Pradeep Kumar Amat from Boud, District Planning Committee Chairman and Dabugaon MLA Manohar Randhari from Nabarangpur, and Minister of Science and Technology Ashok Panda from Khordha were all present at the event.
V K Pandian, the 5T Secretary in charge of overseeing the initiative, said that all the buildings or other assets developed during the transformation of the schools were financed by the citizens of Odisha. As a result, he stated that the Chief Minister hopes that everyone would treat the school’s property as if it were their own. He said that by December 2023, all of the state’s schools would have had major renovations.
