Odisha now crossed 500 marks with 11 new cases, and the apprehension of 3025 cases pushed the state case count to 1 06,561. The health department official informed that the day registration recovery of as many 3,484 patients had been cured of the disease to 80,770, which is 75.79 percent against the recovery rate of 74.64 percent.
Now Odisha’s death toll has reached 503, which is 0.47 percent of the total caseload. Of the 3,025 new cases, including two MLAs, 1,181 people tested positive for COVID-19 during contact tracing, while as many as 1,844 new infections were detected in quarantine centers.
During the day, the state also registered recovery of as many as 3,484 patients taking the number of persons cured of the disease to 80,770, which is a 75.79 percent recovery rate of 74.64 percent.
Khurda district reported the highest number of new cases at 666 following by Cuttack 312, Mayurbhanj 215, and Ganjam 207. Now Odisha active case number dropped to 25,235 from 28,719.
According to the Health Department data, the active case ratio now stands at 23.68 percent against 24.85 percent. The state has so far tested 18 39,854 samples for COVID-19, including 50,421.
