A three-day event will be held at the state, district, and block levels from June 11 to June 13 to commemorate the first anniversary of the new government’s inception. The event will showcase the noteworthy accomplishments of different state government projects and schemes throughout the previous year. The project seeks to promote Odisha’s development trajectory, speed up departmental development initiatives, and educate the public about these accomplishments. Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja presided over a second planning meeting for these activities today at Kharavela Bhawan’s conference hall.
Along with other senior secretaries, commissioners, and officials from various departments, the following individuals attended the meeting: Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg; Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department Satyabrata Sahu; and Additional Chief Secretary of the General Administration and Public Grievance Department Surendra Kumar.
A number of departments have been encouraged to work together to organize these events, including: Revenue; Works; Odia Language, Literature and Culture; Information and Public Relations; Women and Child Development; Mission Shakti; Forest, Environment and Climate Change; Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water; Development of Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes; Welfare of Minorities and Backward Classes; Health; Higher Education; School and Mass Education; Labour and Employees’ State Insurance; Handlooms and Textiles, Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC), among others.
The programming will include block-level information, education, and communication activities, cultural performances, and topic debates. The Information and Public Relations Department will release a booklet showcasing the noteworthy accomplishments of several departments in honor of the government’s one-year anniversary. It has also been suggested that other departments publish pamphlets outlining their accomplishments.
Themes including women’s empowerment and Mission Shakti, agriculture, farmers, and irrigation, industrial growth and employment, Odia identity and Shree Jagannath Temple, people-centric government, health, and education will all be highlighted in these publications. These will also highlight the noteworthy successes of Odisha’s federal government welfare programs, the state’s dedication to improving the lives of scheduled tribes, people with disabilities, and underprivileged communities, as well as initiatives to combat malnutrition. One of the main topics of discussion will be the function of gram panchayats in rural development.
