At the 25th Bharat Prativa Samaroha, which was arranged by the Jay Bharat Foundation and Bharat Masala in Barang, Cuttack district, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi stated that an emphasis on industry, namely small, medium, and micro companies (MSMEs), can accomplish economic development in Odisha.
“Our government is working towards this goal, and organizations like Bharat Masala can serve as role models,” Majhi said.
He underlined that his government prioritizes both MSMEs and large-scale industries, with an emphasis on increasing employment opportunities and overall economic growth. Majhi cited Bharat Masala’s ascent from a ₹400 starting capital to a ₹600 crore enterprise, describing it as a shining example of how entrepreneurial drive can result in success.
He declared that the state intends to build 11 MSME Parks to promote future growth and that it will assist 1,000 businesses annually through Start-Up India and Incubation Centers. Additionally, the government has given MSME units financial help in the form of capital flow assistance and interest repayment.
Majhi outlined the state’s long-term goals, which include becoming a “Bikasita Odisha” by 2047 and a “Samruddha Odisha” by 2036. Inspired by figures such as Mahatma Gandhi, who saw industries as trustees of society, investing earnings in community development, he exhorted the youth to pursue start-ups and MSMEs.
