He will dedicate and lay the cornerstone for many projects totaling more than Rs. 1780 crores at the Sampurnanand Sanskrit University grounds around midday.
On World Tuberculosis Day, the Prime Minister will speak at the One Global TB Summit. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and the Stop TB Partnership are in charge of organising this conference. The Stop TB Partnership, a United Nations-affiliated organisation that was founded in 2001, raises awareness of TB in people, communities, and nations. The Prime Minister will announce several initiatives at the occasion, such as the TB-Mukt Panchayat effort, the official pan-Indian rollout of a shorter TB Preventative Treatment (TPT), and a family-centered treatment approach for TB.
Also, the Prime Minister will recognise a few States, UTs, and Districts for their efforts in eradicating TB. The Prime Minister has urged India to meet the TB-related SDG targets by 2025, five years ahead of schedule, during the End TB conference held in New Delhi in March 2018. The One Global TB Summit will offer a chance to further consider the targets as the nation progresses towards achieving its TB elimination goals. According to an official statement, the prime minister has given Varanasi’s landscape considerable attention over the past nine years in order to improve the quality of life for residents of the city and its surrounding territories.
