President Murmu Graces 25th Convocation Of Berhampur University

Berhampur: President Murmu addressed the 25^th convocation of Berhmpur Univerity at Bhanja Bihar,Ganjam odisha today. Speaking on this occasion she spread her words saying said that the southern region of Odisha has a very important place not only in the history of Odisha, but also in the history of India. This land is rich in education, literature, arts and crafts. Kabi Samrat Upendra Bhanja and Kabisurya Baladev Rath, sons of this region, have enriched Odia as well as Indian literature through their writings. This land has also been the birthplace and workplace of many freedom fighters, martyrs and public servants.

President Murmu further added by saying the establishment of Bermpur university in 1967,Bermpur university known to to be an oldest university in the southern part of odisha. she also gives her appreciation to the role of region, Which is a tribal dominated area.Around 45000 students are getting education in bermpur university’s postgraduate deparments and to its affiliated intitutes as well. While Murmu Adreesing about the gender-equality, she expressed excellent examples and she also stated that more than 55 % of students are belong to girl, and 60% of the gold medallists winners belong to the same group, She expressed her gratitude for this. She further added that who get their doctoral degree also belong to girl group.On this 25^th convocation President Murmu spoke about how undoubtlly girl performing great if  they are getting equal opportunities, How they participate well in various fields including Literature, Culture, Dance, Music, has been incredible.But in current trends Women’s versatility is showing in eery field, Talking about Defence to Army, police ,Now term has been changed from women’s development to women-led development.

While Talking about the 25^th convocation programme she expressed ,that convocation is not only about a success celebration of receiving degrees, its all about their hard works, dedication towards their education and carrier journey, their learning process throughout their life Murmu also said and given suggestion to the students for the utilization of their talents not only for themselves ,but for our Nations growing. President Further added.
