Despite all the efforts of the Pakistani army in Balochistan, the insurgency continues. Outraged by the atrocities of the Pakistani army, the people there have taken up arms and challenged the leadership of Imran Khan. On Saturday night, Baloch rebels attacked a Pakistani military base and killed seven soldiers. Imran Khan has since blamed India for the attack.

The Pakistani military said in a statement that seven soldiers had been killed in an attack on the Sharig post of the Frontier Core in Harnai, Balochistan. The Pakistani army has since launched a massive offensive to retaliate against locals. The Pakistani military has not been able to break into the homes of civilians and shoot at protesters.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said India was behind the attack 10 hours after the attack to cover up its failure. He tweeted that he was “saddened” by the terrorist attack on a frontier post late last night. “My heartfelt condolences and prayers to their families. Our country stands with brave soldiers who are facing attacks by Indian-backed terrorists” he tweeteed.

A few months ago, a Baloch rebel bombed an army vehicle in Panjgur district. It killed three Pakistani soldiers and wounded four others, including a colonel.
