Valentines Day – 14th February is celebrated accross the nation with a sense of love and belongingness. However this day has been marked as the “Black Day” of the history ever since the Pulwama Attack took place. On 14 February 2019, an incident took place in Lethapora in the Pulwama District im Jammu and Kashmir where , a CRPF convoy was attacked by a vehicle borne suicide bomber . There were 2500 CRPF personnel who were moving forward in a convoy of 78 vehicles. The convoy was scheduled to reach the destination before the sunset. Before this could happen, a devastating incident took place.
A car which was filled with explosives slammed right into one of the convoy vehicle. The convoy vehicle HR49F-0637 had many soldiers . Amongst them 40 soldiers were martyred and many of them were injured. Adil Ahmad Dar who was around 22 year old was driving the explosive filled car filled car. He died on spot however the reports throw light on the fact that he was arrested six times by the authorities but was set free everytime without any trial.
India gave a befetting reply to the cowardly attack . The brave soldiers carried out a preemptive strike on Jaish- E- Mohammed training camp on the 26th of February. There were twelve Mirage 2000 jets , of the Indian Air Force that crossed the LOC and destroyed several terror camps in Balakot. There was reported death of 300-350 terrorists. The 40 soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Pulwama Attack would always be remembered for their bravery and sacrifice. Jai Hind!
