Renowned singer Sonu Nigam demonstrated remarkable poise during a recent concert when an overzealous fan charged at him on stage. In a viral video circulating on social media, Sonu is seen effortlessly continuing his performance of “Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte” from the 2008 film *Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi*, even as the intruder approached him in an intimidating manner.
As the fan stormed the stage, security swiftly intervened, apprehending the individual and escorting him off while visibly restraining him. Throughout the commotion, Sonu remained unfazed, maintaining his focus on the performance and not missing a single note.
This incident is not the first of its kind for performers, as artists frequently face disruptions from enthusiastic fans. However, Sonu’s calm demeanor amidst the chaos has drawn admiration from fans and fellow musicians alike, showcasing his professionalism in the face of unexpected challenges.The internet was thoroughly impressed by Sonu Nigam’s rare talent during the incident. One Instagram user commented in Hindi, “No matter what happens, one must never stop singing.” Another user chimed in, saying, “Arijit was absolutely right – Sonu Nigam can never go off tune!” along with laughing and teary emojis.
One user even drew a comparison to a recent incident in Prague, where singer-actor Nick Jonas fled the stage and alerted security when a fan pointed a laser at him while performing with his brothers. They praised Sonu’s calm reaction to a similar threat, stating it was much more effective than Nick’s response.
However, some users criticized Sonu’s security team for resorting to physical violence. One commenter expressed, “But they shouldn’t have hit him” (with sad emojis). Another added, “He could’ve asked his staff to stop hitting him. Instead, he chose to continue singing while the physical abuse went on! They could have simply removed him from the stage without resorting to violence.”
