Hindi Cinema has evolved over a century or more. There has always been distinctions among different types and genres of movies made. I personally like the art kind of dramas where acting of the actors are in focus. Guru Dutt has been one of the all rounders in cinema. His Kagaz ke phool, and Sahib Biwi aur ghulam has put an impact on me as an art lover myself. Meena Kumari being an epitome of Cinema has done a great role with Guru Dutt in one of the Guru Dutt Sahab’s creation.

Sharat Chandra’s Devdas has been one of my all time favorites. The dialogue delivery and the dialogues itself was enormously entertaining and soul-stirring. The newer Devdas by Sanjay Leela has tried his best with the sheer magnificent set and costume has done his best, yet the simple black and white Devdas has it’s altitude and incomparable.
There has been innumerable movies which has created an impact in the common Junta, yet few are my favorites and will always be.

Few of the artist remain immortal for me such as Suchitra Sen, Meena Kumari, Madhu Bala and Guru Dutt. The music plays a key importance in Indian Cinema and most of the renowned movies had great music such as Andhi, Abhiman, Amar Prem, Safar and many more. It is countless.
So does the singers and music directors who have created wonders and made these music immortal. We still hum those old songs based on ragas and taals.
The Indian Cinema is the backbone of India’s Entertainment Industry and has done a great zeal of tasks and tries. Everyone is countable from the spot boy to the producer and from the music directors, arrangers to singers. Everyone involved in making cinema a lesson learned and entertaining, has made a mark in the Indian cinema and deserves applause.
Finally it’s understood every movie gives us something, yet some are unforgettable and eternal.
Hail to Indian Cinema and the Artists-
We live till the Cinema lives in our hearts;
