The death toll from the Indore temple well collapse has risen to 35, and the search operation is still ongoing

A magisterial enquiry into the matter has been ordered. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, announced a 5 lakh exgratia to the kin of the deceased and a 50,000 exgratia to the injured. A 2 lakh exgratia will also be given through the Prime Minister Relief Fund.Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Chouhan to assess the situation. “I’m devastated by the mishap in Indore. I spoke with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan about the situation. The State Government is moving quickly to lead rescue and relief efforts. My thoughts and prayers are with all those who have been affected and their families “PM Modi stated this in a tweet.Questions have now been raised about how the administration permitted the construction of a slab atop an ancient well. According to the temple’s head priest, Laxminarayan Sharma, the roof was built without any concrete support by putting stone slabs and concrete by fitting iron rods.
