FEATURE: In the fast-evolving construction landscape of Odisha, one name has steadily risen to redefine trust, quality, and modern-day building excellence — Aayush Sanganaria, the visionary founder of Soil to Sky Projects. Emerging from a family with over four decades of legacy in construction, Aayush carries forward the baton with a fresh wave of innovation, rooted firmly in integrity and action. Guided by the ethos “Trust is earned when actions meet words,” his company has swiftly become Bhubaneswar’s fastest-growing construction enterprise.
A graduate of R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore — one of the most prestigious institutions in the country — Aayush began his professional journey in 2006 by joining the family business in Kolkata. Over the next few years, he managed projects in Patna, Deoghar, Kolkata, and Ranchi, gradually learning the nuances of on-ground execution. A fateful assignment in Bhubaneswar in 2010 marked a turning point. What started as a single project turned into a series of opportunities, eventually leading to a complete shift of focus to Odisha — a region that was just beginning to open its arms to high-scale development.
By 2020, Aayush had already executed over 100 projects in Bhubaneswar alone. In January 2021, seeking a new identity and vision, he founded Soil to Sky Projects, which has since recorded a meteoric rise — with a projected pipeline of 75 lakh square feet across 26 sites over the next three years, and a turnover of ₹120 crores in just three years of operations.
For Aayush, construction isn’t confined to air-conditioned offices. “We run the company from the site, not the office,” he says. This hands-on philosophy, where engineers, laborers, and staff are seen as extended family, is central to Soil to Sky’s operations. It is also a direct inheritance from his father, who taught him that trust, honesty, and integrity are not optional but essential.

Soil to Sky has already partnered with marquee names like Falcon Real Estate, Utkal Developers, Shri Jagannath Promoters and Builders, Khushi Realcon, and KIIT University — a testament to its growing credibility in the eastern construction ecosystem.
Aayush has no illusions of national expansion just for the sake of scale. His goal is sharply regional. “Odisha is on the brink of a development surge,” he affirms. With high-rises now becoming the new norm — a stark contrast to the 5-10 floor buildings of the early 2010s — the firm has evolved its manpower and technology accordingly. The adoption of aluminum shuttering has significantly enhanced speed, safety, and quality.
While sustainability in construction is still a jargon for many, Aayush calls for pragmatic policies and realistic regulations to counteract the inherent pollution challenges in the sector. “Construction is inherently polluting,” he admits. “We need less talk and more practical solutions.”
Soil to Sky’s current portfolio spans across Odisha and eastern India — from Hyatt in Guwahati to Sarovar Hotel in Bhubaneswar, and from Mefair at Chilika Lake to institutional projects like KIIT and CV Raman Colleges. Other significant works include Falcon Tattwa, Utkal Levels, One World, Khushi Capella, and Lemon Tree Hotel in Bharatpur.
With over 650 staff and 4,000 laborers, the scale is impressive, but Aayush measures success not in numbers but in relationships and reputation.
To aspiring contractors, Aayush offers grounded advice: “Don’t take projects at low rates just to win contracts. It hurts everyone — you, the laborers, and the client.” He warns against desperation pricing, urging newcomers to respect market dynamics and long-term sustainability.
To young professionals seeking employment in the construction sector, his message is candid: “Develop your skill, be loyal, stay longer with good companies. Job-hopping without substance will only leave you jobless in the long run.”
Behind the scenes of this high-growth enterprise is a close-knit family. His wife Yutika, an engineer herself, is the backbone of all operations and finance, managing the company’s accounts with precision. His father remains a mentor, anchoring the values that have now become the DNA of Soil to Sky.
As Odisha continues its march towards becoming a regional powerhouse, Aayush Sanganaria’s Soil to Sky Projects is poised to build not just structures, but also trust, careers, and a new standard of construction excellence.
“We don’t just build buildings,” Aayush says with quiet determination. “We build confidence — brick by brick, floor by floor.”
