The State administration declared it would provide financial support to Balasore flood victims. Amounts: Rs. 120,000 for the urgent repair of a completely destroyed house; Rs. 6,500 for the repair of a partially damaged concrete house; Rs. 4000 for the repair of a partially damaged mud house; Rs. 8000 for the repair of a damaged hut; and Rs. 3000 for the repair of a damaged cowshed. If the family’s home is totally destroyed or flooded, they will receive financial support of Rs. 2,500 for clothing and Rs. 2,500 for utensils.
Financial support of Rs. 8,500 per hectare for non-irrigated lands, Rs. 17,000 per hectare for irrigated land, and Rs. 22,500 per hectare for all sorts of perennial crops will be provided to small and marginal farmers as a means of making up for losses. According to a CMO announcement, this help would only be given for a maximum of two hectares. Similarly, Rs 18,000 would be granted to small and marginal farmers towards sand deposits on land per hectare and Rs.18,000 per hectare, minimum Rs.22,000 per hectare, for the repair of fish ponds. . Similarly, in the event that landslides, erosion, or a change in the course of a river affect agricultural land, the government will grant Rs 47,000 per hectare.
In the event that a boat is partially damaged, fishermen will receive INR 6,000, INR 3,000 for partially damaged nets, INR 15,000 for entirely damaged boats, and INR 4,000 for completely damaged nets. In a similar vein, Rs 10,000 will be given as compensation for each hectare lost to fish seed farms. Additionally, the government declared that domestic dairy animals would receive Rs. 37,500 per cow, Rs. 4,000 per goat or sheep, Rs. 32,000 per pack animal (including horses, oxen, and goats), and Rs. 20,000 per calf, donkey, and mule. A family may only receive up to three big dairy animals, thirty small dairy animals, three large pack animals, or six small dairy animals in total from the program.
Each rural artist would receive Rs 5,000 in financial support, while handicrafts and handicraft workers will receive Rs 5,000 for equipment replacement or damage. For the purpose of repairing and restoring public assets such as roads, poles, schools, primary/group health centers, 11 KV LT Line, drinking water supply system, small irrigation projects, youth centers, panchayat houses, and anganwadi houses, among others, detailed damage reports from the relevant departments are required. Following receipt of the report, the CMO stated that the aforementioned departments will receive financial support.
