The company, KGMI, was founded by Mr. Susanta Panigrahi and Mrs. Manita Panigrahi, who serve as Directors. Mr. Susanta Panigrahi, originally from Berhampur, initiated his business ventures in 1992 as a cost accountant, offering consultancy services. Over the years, he diversified into various sectors including event management, real estate, advertisement, and consumer products marketing. In 2000, he relocated to Bhubaneswar and ventured into interior works, pioneering the modular furniture unit in the city. Starting with humble beginnings in 2004, utilizing local machines, the company has now expanded its operations to include modular furniture production and a seed processing unit.
KGMI Services has emerged as a leading modular furniture manufacturer in Eastern India, headquartered in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. With a wealth of experience, the company provides a comprehensive range of interior design services encompassing residential and corporate interior design, modular kitchen, and furniture solutions. Committed to sustainable practices, KGMI aims to enhance the capability of the modular furniture industry to produce eco-friendly and affordable products.
Anshuman Panigrahi, CEO speaking on behalf of the company, highlighted their commitment to investing in Odisha during the Make in Odisha Conclave in 2021. In addition to their modular furniture endeavors, KGMI has established one of Odisha’s largest factories for modular furniture production, along with a steel sheet processing unit specializing in steel processing.
Anshuman Panigrahi, along with his younger brother pursuing chartered accountancy, reflects on their upbringing witnessing their parents manage a small team of ten to now overseeing a workforce of over 100 employees.
