Every year from October to February Saptasajya used to be filled with crowds for picnic. People all across the state, and beyond travel to this scenic beauty situated at Dhenkanal district to spend some quality leisure time from their daily hectic schedule.

But this year the scenario is quite different and surprising. Likewise, every year where huge crowd gathers here for the picnic season, this year the scene is totally different. Due to the coronavirus and its pertaining effects Saptasajya lacks the amount of crowd it used to behold in the past years.
Saptasajya is situated in the south direction of Dhenkanal town, and it is about 11 KMS in distance from Dhenkanal town. Saptasajya beholds a holy vibe with its connection to the Purana and legends mentioning that the Five Pandavas stayed here for a few days during their incognito period.

Lord Rama, Laxman and Sita along with the Five Pandavas are worshiped in the temple present over there.
Dattatreya Panda, an engineer and visitor said, ” Saptasajya has a different auro and atmosphere which is different from any other tourist place, I visit this place regularly, and finds it aromatic and therapeutic to relive my stress.”
” This year there is a significant decrease of crowd that gathers here, may be due to Covid-19 pandemic the amount has been decreased,” Said Abhilash sahu, a tourist.

There is also a small spring which flows here, every year people come here to enjoy and experience nature’s ethereal beauty, but this time the number has been decreased.
