According to those with knowledge of the situation, a group of seers and intellectuals are working on a draught of the “Constitution of India as a Hindu country.” The 32-page document is expected to be presented during the “Dharam Sansad” that will be held during the Magh Mela in 2023. The Dharam Sansad had earlier in February endorsed a resolution to transform India into a “Hindu Rashtra” with its own constitution. Under the guidance of Shambhavi Peethadheeshwar, a group of 30 individuals, including President of the Varanasi-based Shankaracharya Parishad Swaroop, Hindu Rashtra Nirman Samiti Chief Kamleshwar Upadhyay, Senior Supreme Court Lawyer BN Reddy, Defense Expert Anand Vardhan, Sanatan Dharma Scholar Chandramani Mishra, and World Hindu Federation .It also suggests that Muslims and Christians will have access to all of the same rights as other citizens, with the exception of the right to vote. Additionally, military training would be required for all citizens, and agriculture would be fully tax-free. Swaroop claims that while the voting age has been set at 16, the contesting age has been set at 25. Citizens will be granted the opportunity to vote once they become 16 years old. The seer predicted that 543 people would be elected to the “Parliament of Religions,” and that the new system would do away with British-era laws and regulations in favour of the “Varna” system.
