Yesterday at Eden Gardens, Team India won their second T20 against West Indies, thereby winning the T20 series as well. After the final T20 which is scheduled tomorrow, Team India will quickly move onto a home series against Srilanka where they play 3 T20s and 2 Test matches.
As per the latest reports, in order to avoid excessive Bio-Bubble fatigue, BCCI have given breaks to former skipper Virst Kohli and star wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant. While Rishabh Pant will miss the entire T20 series against Srilanka and will be available from the test series, Virat Kohli might miss the first test as well to concentrate on his 100th test match which will be held at Bengaluru.
Therefore players like Shreyas Iyer and Ruturaj Gaikwad who haven’t got chance so far will now have an opportunity to show their talent.
