Coronavirus infection is on the rise in the country. This year’s IPL will be held without spectators in view of the second wave of the corona and its outbreak. BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla made the announcement on Sunday. The 14th edition of the IPL will be held at six stadiums. Players, organizers, support staff are all under tight security. Rajiv Shukla said the number of employees has been increased for the successful organization.

He added that the BCCI has maintained relations with the health department. Rajeev said he plans to vaccinate BCCI players.

Notably, a total of 19 corona positives have been identified so far from the players to the supporting staff and Ground Man. In particular, the covid positive detection of 10 ground man at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium has raised concerns about the organization of the IPL on the field. Especially in Maharashtra, the Hyderabad and Indore stadiums have been set up as standbys in view of the rising cases of corona.

In view of the Covid infection, the BCCI has decided to host the ongoing IPL without spectators. Last year, the 13th edition of the IPL was held in the UAE due to the Corona epidemic. The world’s largest cricket league was successfully completed without spectators. So this season of IPL also will be succeeded as per BCCI.
