The Puri district government placed red flags on the seaside at Swargadwar on Friday to warn visitors after four tourists perished in the sea in the course of two days.
Red flags have been raised by the government in an effort to prevent people from entering water regions that are prone to accidents. Four visitors drowned while having a swim in the water in only two days, according to sources, prompting the precautionary measure.
Three of them were lost when a powerful tidal carried away a man, his kid, and their friends as they were having fun in the water. One of them was saved by the lifeguards, while the father and son pair perished in the ocean.
The same thing happened to two more West Bengali visitors who were enjoying a sea bath when they were carried away by enormous waves. Despite the presence of lifeguards, the increase of drowning fatalities has raised major concerns.
