JSW Awards Udaan Scholarships To 104 Students Of Mining Areas

104 deserving students from the districts of Keonjhar and Sundergarh received the Udaan Fellowship from the JSW Foundation, which encourages them to pursue higher education. The fellowships were given out during a ceremony on Wednesday in Barbil.

A prominent social worker from Odisha named Padma Shri Tulasi Munda gave the youngsters the scholarship. She praised the children and stated that this scholarship program will undoubtedly inspire them to study hard and contribute to their communities.

According to foundation representatives, the award will give students more confidence to accomplish their objectives.

104 students who reside inside the direct impact zone (DIZ) of a JSW mine were each given a fellowship. A total of almost Rs 26 lakh was distributed among the students as part of the fellowship. JSW Foundation and NSDL have worked together to make depositions more transparent and open to inspection.

Scholarship recipients congratulated the business for carrying out the project. “This scholarship helped me to cover my study expenses,” stated Rugudi resident Ranjit Barik. Tushar Sekhar Mahanta, another student enrolled in PMIR’s MBA (HR) program, stated, “Such initiative in this field will motivate student like me to pursue higher education. A scholarship is a huge help to me.

The students were selected through the criteria of having 50% marks scored in the annual examination conducted by the respective institutions. Selected students are being provided scholarships in across the courses. The scholarship shall be renewed every year. Around 22 students have received renewal amounts under this scholarship this year.
