In Conversation with Author and Lyricist Himank Bhardwaz

Himank Bhardwaz is a talented author and a lyricist . His journey is commendable and inspiring. Let us know more about him in this Interview of Interview Times.

Q1) You are a writer and a lyricist both. How do you manage to do both ?

Ans : I mostly write books based on true events, such incidents which are socially part of the society, but never talk about those incidents or remain an anonymous incident, I try to cover such incidents. I should search on the basis of authenticity and through them I can make the public aware. And as far as lyricist is concerned, song writing is a form of poetry which is always written in verse form. To become a writer and lyricist it is necessary to have knowledge of prose and poetry and I try whether I think like a storyteller by writing a story or a song. By writing like a lyricist. Absolute accuracy is necessary in both and rhyme is needed to write a song and brainstorming is needed to write a narrative or a story.Although both are the form of prose and poetry, they are easily managed.

Q2) Do you feel that the market has become very competitive nowadays .There are so many writers and lyricists what do you feel about the competition.

Ans : This thing has to be accepted that there is competition in every field, but I believe that one who wants to change something within himself and wants to do something different, for that any competition doesn’t matter. Also every person has an unique talent that sets them aside from other people and writers always try to bring something new to the platter. And I have been moving forward on this path and will continue to move forward. By the way, if someone is not his rival in front of him, till then the curiosity to identify himself does not arise within him, and if you meet every step of your life, then it is obvious that then your hobby becomes an obsession. | You also get courage to move forward in any field.

Q3 ) A lot of people have different inspirations in Life. Who has been your inspiration ?

There is someone or the other in everyone’s life who inspires them, but my life started with my parents, like everyone starts, but the special thing about my life is that my parents made me more valuable than my status, nurtured me and made me capable. And apart from these, my great source of inspiration in my life was my grandfather, who was brutally murdered at the age of 35, whose murder has remained a murder mystery till date. It is said that his murder was due to a property dispute. One of the lines I still remember is :

“इस पार प्रिय है ताजमहल , उस पार न जाने क्या होगा?”

When I read this poem and recited it to everyone, I felt I wish I would get a chance to write, when this feeling awakened in my mind and gradually I kept following my grandfather’s old things and I did not know when this feeling became passion and in this way my life dragged me from an ordinary person to the post of writer and lyricist, it can be said that my passion brought me to become a writer and lyricist. Apart from these, there were very few people who inspired me, there were a lot of people who called me stupid and pulled me back from my path, created obstacles in my every work, etc. Apart from my parents, my best inspiration is my grandfather, whom I have never seen, but his courage, passion, courage, and hard work and listening to his stories from the people of the village, have become a part of my life, whenever I am facing any problem or bad time in life, only one thing comes to my mind that my grandfather, late Mr. Bal Kishan Bhardwaj, lived for only 35 years and his name and fame are more fame than his age. Right now I will get a lot of chance to reach 35 years, when my grandfather could do it then why can’t I, I will surely do it, this thought makes me feel like a living soul. And what motivates me to write is my duty to write the feelings of the people and convey them to the people in a true way.
