The new curricular framework for school instruction was introduced by the Ministry of instruction on August 23 in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP).
The New Education Policy (NEP)-compliant curriculum is complete, and textbooks will be created using it for the 2024 academic year, according to ministry officials.
1. Board exams will be given twice a year, and students will be permitted to keep their top result, according to a statement from the Ministry of Education.
2. Instead of months of instruction and memorization, board exams will evaluate knowledge and competency.
3. According to the government, students in grades 11 and 12 are required to learn two languages, at least one of which must be an Indian language.
4. The current practise of ‘covering’ textbook material in class will be stopped, and the cost of the books will be reduced.
5. Students should have more freedom to choose their classes in grades 11 and 12, and not just stick to certain “streams” like the arts, sciences, or business.
