Odisha Government Introduces LAXMI QR Code for Cashless Transportation on Government Vehicles

Today, the Odisha government introduced a unique way for passengers to pay when using government buses. Usha Padhee, the secretary of the Commerce and Transport department, introduced the LAXMI QR Code to enable easy and convenient payment. With the introduction of the LAXMI QR Code, OSRTC makes a huge advancement in digital transactions and transforms cashless payments for LAXMI bus services. The unveiling of this revolutionary step was witnessed by notable dignitaries and government representatives.

Padhee applauded OSRTC’s initiative, pointing out how the LAXMI QR Code aligns with the Government of Odisha’s 5T initiative. She underlined how important digitization is to improving passenger accessibility and convenience. She also emphasized how the LAXMI QR Code has the power to completely transform travel experiences.

Diptesh Pattnayak, the CMD of OSRTC, expressed great pride in this technological breakthrough. The launch of the LAXMI QR Code, he said, “exemplifies our dedication to embracing digital solutions for a seamless travel experience and signifies our unwavering commitment to customer-centric service, perfectly aligning with the Government of Odisha’s transformative 5T initiative.” Amitabh Thakur, the commissioner of transportation, highlighted the teamwork that produced this innovation.
