The Commissionerate Police is going to implement a new strategy, known as crime mapping on Google application, in order to combat crimes and criminal activities more effectively. First, police will concentrate on incidents involving snatching and looting. According to Twin City police commissioner Soumendra Priyadarshi, the police will enlist the aid of numerous telecom service providers, who can give them information about the whereabouts of the offenders as well as their movements and call logs.
There are numerous CCTV cameras positioned throughout Cuttack and Bhubaneswar’s Smart City. The feed from these cameras will be sent to the unified command control room. The Commissioner continued, “It will contribute to the Commissionerate Police becoming more successful and efficient in their future crime control program.
