On the occasion of the World Ordained Language Conference, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik published a book on Sunday called “Language Law in Legislative Assembly.”
It is important to note that the book documents all of the discussions surrounding the 1948 proposed language law, its adoption in 1954, and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s 2018 revision of the law in the Assembly.
The Chief Minister stated, “We are committed to the improvement of the Odia language,” during this particular speech. According to him, the government is working to open up new opportunities in this area so that scientific knowledge can be applied for the benefit of future generations and the Odia language can be preserved. By doing this, he seeks to integrate all the linguistic areas under a single formula and involve them in the development of Odisha. The Bhashak Movement’s founder, Shalve Mahratha, edited the book, which Shadsparsh Publishing House published.
