Sanjay Raut, the head of the Shiv Sena (UBT), has issued a list of 17 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections.Sanjay Raut, the leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), unveiled the party’s initial slate of 17 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 on Wednesday.

From the Mumbai South Central parliamentary constituency, Anil Desai will run.The Uddhav Thackeray-led party will run for a total of 22 seats in the general elections, according to Sanjay Raut, and the remaining five candidates would be revealed in the next day or two. He added that Raju Shetti, the leader of the farmers’ movement in Hatkanangale, has requested the Maha Vikas Aghadi’s backing.

Eleven of the names released on Wednesday were previously disclosed by party president Uddhav Thackeray during his visit to the corresponding Lok Sabha seats last month.All five of the current MPs have also been renominated by the party. Retiring Member of Parliament Arvind Sawant will run in the Mumbai South constituency, followed by Mumbai North East’s Sanjay Patil and Mumbai North West’s Amol Kirtikar.

While Vinayak Raut has been handed a ticket from Ratnagiri Sindhudurg, Rajan Vichare will run from Thane.
