Everyone’s attention was captured by Shah Rukh Khan and Rishabh Pant’s unique encounter in Vizag.Known for his heartwarming TV moments, Shah Rukh Khan captured hearts on Wednesday by making a gesture akin to Bollywood for Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant. The 58-year-old actor was on the pitch in Vizag to greet players following KKR’s decisive victory. His exchange with the batter-wicketer was the high point of his post-match etiquette.
DC lost a one-sided match after being bowled out for 166 in 17.2 overs while chasing 273. Pant scored a half-century with four fours and five sixes in just 32 balls, despite his team’s loss. For Delhi, Tristan Stubbs (54) also scored fifty runs in the interim. Varun Chakravarthy and Vaibhav Arora each claimed three wickets for the KKR bowling unit.
At the outset, KKR scored 272/7 in 20 overs, which turned into the second-highest IPL total ever. With an impressive 85 runs off 39 balls, opener Sunil Narine provided KKR with a solid foundation. Angkrish Raghuvanshi, meanwhile, criticised 54 off 27 deliveries. After the game, Pant made the following statement: “We were just all over the place (with the ball); we could have done better, and I feel like it was one of those days.” We discussed as a batting unit how to approach these games by going hard (after the target), believing that it is better to give it your all in an attempt to get the total than to not try.
