Odisha Records Highest-Ever Gross GST Collection Of Rs 5902.25 Cr

With a collection of Rs 5902.25 crore in April 2024 compared to Rs 5035.74 crore in April 2023, Odisha registered the highest ever collection of Gross GST (CGST+ IGST+OGST + Cess), with a growth rate of 17.21% compared to the national average growth rate of 13%.

In addition, Odisha achieved a remarkable growth rate of 32.94%, recording the highest-ever state GST (OGST + IGST Settlement) collection in April 2024, at Rs 2996.05 crore, compared to the 2253.71 crore collected in the same month the previous year.

Of these, the amount of OGST collected in April—Rs 2081.83 crore—is also the highest amount ever. The amount collected in April 2024 under all Acts overseen by the Commissionerate of CT & GST, Odisha, including OGST/IGST Settlement/VAT and Profession Tax, is Rs. 3330.48 Cr. Compared to the amount collected in April 23 (Rs. 2544.45 Cr.), representing a growth rate of 30.89%.

On April 24, 23.15 lakh waybills were generated in comparison to 20.90 lakh waybills were generated in April 2023, representing a growth of 10.76%, which is indicative of the state economy’s vigor. In April 2024, a total of 23.15 lakh e-waybills were generated, of which 12.38 lakh were issued inside a state and 8.51 lakh were generated across states.
