CM Mohan Majhi Urges New Recruits To Drive Odisha’s Growth & Public Welfare

In his speech at the “Nijukti Samaroh,” held at the Lok Seva Bhavan’s Convention Center, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi urged recently appointed officers and employees to play a pivotal role in advancing the State’s development and ensuring the successful implementation of government schemes across the State.

Three key state departments—Energy, Health & Family Welfare, and Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) under Steel & Mines—sent appointment letters to a total of 282 officials and staff. Of the individuals appointed, 79 were assigned to the Energy department as Assistant Executive Engineers, 31 to the Director of Drugs Control in Health & Family Welfare as Junior Clerk-cum-Typists, and 19 to the Director of AYUSH as Ayurvedic Lecturers. The Odisha University of Health Sciences also selected 19 junior mechanical engineers, 14 junior electrical engineers, 16 junior civil engineers, 9 junior pharmacists, and 30 electricians in addition to 54 junior assistants.

CM Majhi congratulated the appointments and noted their talent and diligence in achieving this achievement. He emphasized that their selection was a “golden opportunity” to interact with the public directly in addition to a government position. Majhi urged the recruits to stick to their commitment to serving the people, upholding human rights, and advancing national development.

“Our government is determined to create a developed and transparent Odisha, where public confidence in government institutions is paramount,” Majhi said. He emphasized the importance of including marginalized, tribal, and downtrodden communities in the state’s progress.

With an emphasis on the healthcare industry, the Chief Minister emphasized the state’s enhanced budgetary allotment of Rs 21,000 crore, which represents a 32% increase over the previous year. Majhi announced future plans to execute the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana, while also restating Odisha’s commitment to increasing health services throughout urban and rural regions.

Majhi disclosed the state government’s audacious plan to generate 3.5 lakh employment possibilities in the industrial sector and fill 1.5 lakh government positions in the next five years. In order to better serve the general public, he reminded the new officers to work with honesty, integrity, and a feeling of obligation toward them. He also urged them to think back on their own challenges.
