Today, Pradeep Bala Samanta, Minister of Handlooms, Textiles, and Handicrafts, opened the National Handloom Expo at the city’s IDCO Exhibition Ground. Through April 1, the National Handloom Expo will be open. Public access to the Expo will be available from 11:30 am to 9:00 pm.
This show will include popular handloom fabrics from several regions of Odisha, including Sambalpuri, Sonepuri, Bomkai, Khanduapata, Maniabandhi, Habaspuri, and others. The Karuna silk robes will be the tourists’ primary attraction. In addition to Odisha’s handwoven clothing, the exhibition will include handloom items like as West Bengal’s Jamdani and Tangail, Jammu & Kashmir’s Pashmina shawls, Tamil Nadu’s Kanjibvaram silk, Delhi and Haryana’s furnishing clothes, and Karnataka’s silk sarees.
