Over 30 Injured After Vehicle Plows Into Crowd Outside East Hollywood Nightclub

At least 30 people were injured, including three critically, after a vehicle ploughed into a crowd gathered outside a nightclub on Santa Monica Boulevard in East Hollywood early Saturday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The incident occurred as a line of patrons—mostly women—waited outside the club. The vehicle, identified as a Nissan Versa, struck not only the crowd but also a taco truck and a valet stand before coming to a halt. The victims were immediately transported to nearby hospitals and trauma centers. Authorities confirmed that three people are in critical condition, six sustained serious injuries, and 19 others are in fair condition.

Capt. Adam Van Gerpen, public information officer for the LAFD, stated that emergency responders also found one individual with a gunshot wound. However, it remains unclear whether the injury was related to the crash.

“This is under active police investigation,” Van Gerpen told the Associated Press. “It’s going to be a large-scale inquiry involving the LAPD.”

Eyewitnesses reported that several clubgoers rushed to help the injured before emergency services arrived. “They were just waiting in line, getting food from the taco cart or waiting for the valet. Then suddenly, the car came through,” Van Gerpen said, describing the chaotic scene.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the crash and whether any criminal charges will be filed.
