Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd. (OMC) Managing Director Sudhansu Mohan Samal went and thoroughly examined the company’s Chrome Zone activities in the Jajpur area. Director (Operations) Sabyasachi Mohanty, Director 2nd (HR) Alok Kumar Pal, and Director (Finance) Bana Bihari Pani joined the tour, along with JK Road Mining Region unit heads and employees.
The MD visited Sukrangi and Kaliapani Mines as well as important operating locations of South Kaliapani Mines, such as the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), Quarry D & Quarry F, Stockyard, Chrome Ore Beneficiation Plant (COBP), and Tailing Pond. He counseled the teams to take responsibility for execution, guarantee transparency in ore quality assurance, increase automation in ore production and dispatch, and collaborate to meet company objectives. In order to guarantee operational excellence, he also gave tight instructions on respect to legal frameworks and regulatory compliances.
The MD also examined operations at OMC’s Ferro-Chrome Plant, emphasizing the need for large-scale reforestation initiatives to improve ecological balance, company diversification, and the use of renewable energy sources like solar power. He emphasized OMC’s approach to environmental stewardship, which is motivated by sustainability. MD praised the regional teams’ combined efforts and asked them to continue being proactive in promoting safety, innovation, and environmental responsibility while adhering to OMC’s long-term growth strategy.
