How many more daughters must we lose before we call this what it is — a war against women?
By Palak Chauhan
Rape is not an isolated crime. It is the brutal reflection of a society that teaches men entitlement and teaches women endurance. It thrives because silence shields it. Because justice crawls. Because outrage fades too soon.
We are tired — of apologies that mean nothing, of politicians who offer sympathy instead of change, of a system that questions the victim more than the offender. We are tired of being told to “stay safe” instead of making the world safe for us.
This is not about one woman. This is about every woman who walks home clutching her keys like a weapon. Every survivor who was silenced by shame. Every girl was taught to lower her gaze instead of raising her voice.
We don’t need pity — we demand accountability.
We don’t want awareness — we want action.
Stricter punishments, faster trials, zero tolerance.
Teach boys respect, not dominance. Teach society that silence kills.
Because when we stay quiet, we become accomplices. Because every minute of silence after a crime is another minute of empowerment for the abuser.
To every woman — your pain is political. Your voice is power. And your resistance is revolution.
We will not be silent. We will not be tamed.
Speak. Shatter. Rise.
Because silence is complicity — and we are done being complicit.
